Hershy track meet
I ran the 100m and 200m.Both times I got third place. I beet Jaxen in the 100m. I threw a softball 40 yrds [120 feet]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

National Parks near Beaver County
Great Basin National Park is 91 miles Northwest of Milford. At this park you can hike, camp, see Lehman Caves, fish and see really dark night skies.

Cedar Breaks National Monument is 72 miles southeast from Milford. At Cedar Breaks you get to stand above a canyon of eroded rocks. The rocks are half a mile deep. In the fall the leaves on the trees are famous for their colors.

Beaver county's industries
In Beaver County, its industry's are Hunting, Fishing, Mining, and Tourism.
The animals that can be hunted are antelope, deer, elk, bear, and game birds.

People like to come and fish for brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, cutthroat trout, smallmouth bass, and tiger trout.

The mines bring in gold, silver, copper. lead, iron.

Tourists can see historical buildings and homes, the Courthouse Museum, Beaver Cheese Factory, the Candle and Gift Company, and golf on the local golf course. At the cheese factory you can buy squeaky cheese. At the candle shop you can hand dip candles and keep them. You can by food at a restaurant on your way through town.

Beaver County's interesting facts
The Tushar Mountains are the tallest mountains in Beaver County Utah. These mountains were made by the longest volcanic action in Utah and now have the most igneous rocks in Utah.
Clear Creek Canyon was the best transportation system and the home of many historic people.
Wildhorse Canyon, 10 miles east of Milford, was a major place for obsidian in prehistoric times. They carried the obsidian and traded it.
The first Mormon settlers came to Beaver County in 1856.
Ira Hinckley established Cove Fort in 1860.Its rock walls provided protection, and it was also a stopping place between Beaver and Fillmore. I went to Cove Fort last summer and saw the trees that were planted in 1860. They are so weak that they're held up by metal arms.

Butch Cassidy was born in Beaver County. His real name was Robert Leroy Parker. He was a train and a bank robber.
Beaver was the first place in Utah to get electricity.
It won the best tasting water in the U.S.A. in 2006.

Beaver County's recreation
Beaver County's industry's are mining and logging. The mining industry mined copper, gold, silver, lead, iron, uranium, and obsidian. The timber came from Beaver Mountain.
